Planet EARTH

Premium HIGH RESOLUTION VISUALS of planet Earth

Moving around the Earth at 28,000 kilometers per hour (17,500 mph) and at an altitude of 400 kilometers, astronauts aboard the International Space Station (ISS) experience amazing views of our home planet and document the Earth in high resolution photos, using the many professional cameras onboard the station. These 8K and 12K resolution visuals have been created by compositing those individual source images, and are part of an ongoing collaboration with Brit Hammer Studio.

Flying around the globe at 28,000 kilometers per hour (17,500 miles per hour) and 400 kilometers altitude, the astronauts aboard the International Space Station witness many amazing views of our planet. Whenever they have some spare time, they capture those views using an array of professional camera equipment onboard the station. This is a short compilation of time lapse shots from several missions that I processed from the original high resolution stills. On this virtual trip around the world you will see: 0:00 Western Europe and the UK at dawn 0:15 Grand Canyon and Rocky Mountains 0:25 Spain at night 0:38 View of the ISS exterior from the Japanese module 0:45 Morocco and the Canary Islands 0:53 Venezuela and Panama 1:05 Sunrise around summer solstice, seen through the ISS solar panels 1:19 Sunset over Brazil Once again I had the pleasure to collaborate with Makewaves Audio who created the beautiful music and sound design.
